Interviewed every potential hire, regardless of department, for fit with our values and contribution to our culture. Implemented our version of the employee of the month—the infamous JSMEBFPPA. Gave company-wide presentations on values and advocated for doing the right thing even when it was hard. Led to ZenPayroll being named the best place to work.

Engineered the first two releases of ZenPayroll's public API, from writing documentation and integration tests through full implementation and working with dozens of partners to integrate to launch.

Rewrote backend processing of long-running jobs to be fault tolerant, modular, and threaded for performance. Spoke at RailsConf 2014 about the open sourced library behind processing hundreds of millions of dollars.

Championed ZenPayroll Giving feature, allowing employees to donate directly from their paycheck. Built front end user interface, backend processing, batch file creation, and ACH transactions for payments.

Built full-stack integration with Freshbooks to push accounting information (taxes, wages, contractor payments) from ZenPayroll.

Core team. Building for tens of millions of dollars in daily ecommerce transactions.

Built recommendation system, worked on partnerships including the largest daily deal in history (Starbucks).
